Job description
Welcome to the Savings team! We are a passionate group of just over 35 (and growing) experts on a mission to make our savings products work for our members.
We have a real sense of purpose – to improve the lives and financial wellbeing of our savers.
We’re looking for a Product Manager to be part of our fantastic Delivery team who are responsible for implementing our new product propositions, delivering changes to support trading objectives as well as proactively identifying ways to stop things going wrong and fixing them when they sometimes do.
We are happy to consider flexible working approaches to help you perform at your best.

At Nationwide we offer hybrid working wherever possible. More rewarding relationships are supported through our hybrid approach, bringing colleagues together across our UK wide estate, whilst also supporting generous access to home working. We value our time in the office to solve problems, to learn, and to feel connected.

Collaborate with people across the Society to execute our strategy, supporting key projects and providing product expertise
Work with the team to build a detailed knowledge of our policies, processes and systems, ensuring that robust controls are in place to protect members and the Society
Help maintain our Savings product book through the coordination and delivery of Run The Business activities
Work closely with colleagues across the Society for example, Communications, Technology, Digital, Retail and Risk teams to get the support we need to put things right, when they do sometimes go wrong, and support the identification and delivery of the necessary controls to stop it from happening again
About you
The minimum requirements for the role are:
An established Product Manager or similar, with detailed knowledge and experience of how Savings products operate, their Terms & Conditions & recent experience in the Savings industry
Recent experience in leading or supporting projects or change, including readiness plans, testing, stakeholder management and reporting
An ability to clearly present information to senior executives in the Society as well as the wider team
Experience of stakeholder management with strong collaboration skills. Experience building strong relationships with colleagues across the Society and using a range of influencing skills to help us reach positive outcomes.
Experience analysing processes, policies and procedures, with a curious and inquisitive mind to spot opportunities and make improvements that protect our members and the Society.
Strong resilience and able to handle challenges and setbacks, being adaptable and able to work collaboratively to respond positively to gain consensus on the way forward
Our customer first behaviours put customers and members at the heart of how we work together. They are the set of behaviours that every colleague needs to display, in every role:
- Feel what customers feel - We step into our customers’ shoes, using their feedback and insights to empathise with them and to understand their needs, so that every decision we make starts and finishes with our customers in mind
