Are you a seasoned analyst with a strong track record in forecasting, planning, and enabling data-led decision-making? We’re seeking a Senior Forecasting & Planning Analyst who brings deep expertise in Forecasting, Stakeholder Management and Capacity Planning.

In this senior role, you’ll influence decisions that shape the future of our Retail Network by designing, building, and enhancing capacity models to support our Branch Network.

 You’ll uncover performance trends, align resource to demand and ensure we have the right people in the right place to deliver on our promises to members.

This role requires hands-on experience in collating data from various sources – including databases, Power BI and Excel using data extraction packages like SQL Studio or similar.

What you’ll be doing

 

You’ll be delivering data-driven insights and recommendations that support strategic planning and operational success. Your responsibilities will include:

• Analysing historical data, market trends, and performance drivers to inform forecasting assumptions and scenario planning.
• Owning the end-to-end forecasting cycle, including data gathering, model development, validation, and stakeholder communication.
• Conducting analysis used by senior leadership to inform key decisions.
• Crafting compelling narratives from data to influence business strategy.
• Forecasting demand and aligning resources to meet member needs.
• Supporting budget planning and identifying financial impacts of operational changes.

 

About you

• Experience in data analysis is essential for this role.
• A logical and analytical mindset with the ability to quickly interpret, evaluate, and draw insights from large, complex data sets, making use of statistical techniques to convert these into actionable analysis supporting Channel performance.
• Hands on experience with data platforms and extraction software such as SQL, Databricks or SPSS Modeler.
• Proficiency with data visualisation tools such as PowerBI and Excel, including the ability to develop and modify existing dashboards, and utilising complex formulas and automation techniques to support forecasting and planning.
• Proven ability to manage and influence stakeholders at all levels, building strong relationships to drive alignment and support for planning initiatives.
• Ability to work at pace and respond to changing priorities and work requests in a timely manner.
• Excellent attention to detail and confidence in ‘telling the story’ – clearly communicating your analysis and recommendations to key stakeholders.
