Job description
We’re looking for a high-performing individual to join our Fraud Analytics function to support Nationwide in the prevention and detection of fraud and scams across our portfolio.
This role will provide you with the opportunity to work across all areas of the analytics team as well as with stakeholders across the business to design, develop and implement meaningful fraud analyses, reporting and MI. You will be instrumental in reshaping and modernising our analytics environment, delivering actionable insights that support the business in preventing fraud.
You’ll have the ability to collaborate with others to ensure we’re working together effectively. This role will provide the opportunity to work within our Economic Crime department and with the wider business. For this job you'll spend at least two days per week, or if part time you'll spend 40% of your working time, based at either our London, Swindon, Northampton, Belfast, Bournemouth, Sheffield, Wakefield, Manchester or Dunfermline office. What you’ll be doing
- You will use your technical and analytical skills to support the wider analytics team, and business, by creating and delivering insightful, actionable analyses to help mitigate significant financial loss and monitor performance
- You will also be involved in ad hoc requests for information and analyses from regulators and the wider business
- You will be involved in all stages of the reporting process, from requirements gathering, development, testing and through to deployment \ delivery
About you
As a minimum requirement you’ll need:
- Experience in coding languages (for example SQL\SAS\Python etc)
- Experience in visualisation software and best practices (for example Power BI\Tableau etc)
- Strong knowledge of excel for analysis, including pivot tables and VLookups etc.
- A logical approach to problem solving and the confidence to make and develop recommendations for solutions
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with an ability to influence and challenge stakeholders at all levels and explain technical concepts to a non-technical audience
- Strong capability to interpret complex data, identifying trends and effectively communicating findings to stakeholders
- A change mindset - experience of leading\supporting changes to process
- A logical approach to problem solving with the confidence to make recommendations for solutions
- Excellent personal organisation with the ability to manage your own workload and prioritise effectively
- Forensic attention to detail
