Job description
As an Administrative Support Assistant, you’ll be working closely with the Director of Everyday Banking, supporting them in their role with diary management accountabilities, through to providing accurate and prompt administrative as well as business support for the wider Retail Products team.
You’ll support with the co-ordination of business administration activities to help with the smooth running of the team and delivery of objectives and outcomes. There’s never been a more exciting time to join our Retail Products team, as we work to enhance our propositions and customer journeys.
The working hours (per week) for this role can be between 28 and 35.

For this job you'll spend at least two days per week, or if part time you'll spend 40% of your working time, based at either our London or Swindon office. What you’ll be doing
You’ll be providing administrative support to the Director of Everyday Banking, including diary management to ensure that they can be as organised and effective in their role as possible. You’ll also work closely with our Retail Products Business Support Manager, providing wider administrative support across the team.
You will support the smooth running of the team and delivery of objectives and outcomes. This will be wide-ranging, so you’ll be proactive and organised, and will include assistance with planning and preparation of any papers or reports, collation of data and information, meeting minute taking, tracking of actions and activities, through to co-ordination of cyclical people activity and requirements across wider the team.
About you
- Successful and strong background and experience in assistance and/or planning and organising roles, such as Personal Assistant, or Project Management Office experience
- Extensive experience supporting a Director with Diary Management
- Prior experience of stakeholder engagement
- You’ll be innovative and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently but confidentially, and at pace in a very proactive way, with a forward-thinking, highly-organised and collaborative approach. You’ll have excellent organisational skills and can prioritise and multi-task with ease, including the ability to plan and reschedule project and duties as necessary.
- Take ownership for day-to-day operational issues, working collaboratively and supporting of activity co-ordination, across the team until resolution, which will mean your empathetic and sensitive where necessary
- You will have excellent proficiency and skills in the use and application of all Microsoft Office tools and systems
- If you don’t know something, you will be naturally inquisitive and motivated to find out, and this will ensure you have a comprehensive understanding of how your Everyday Banking team work, as well as across the wider Retail Products function
- You will be excellent at building and maintaining relationships.
